JUNIOR SUITE

The Junior Suite is fast becoming our most popular guestroom. While not the largest of our suites, it clearly has the most character. The king bed framed by half walls and architectural columns provides a romantic setting, or just an excellent venue from which to view the 42" flat screen plasma TV. The oversized bath features a large garden style bath tub, as well as both a regular and rain showerhead. And the queen-size pullout sofa in the living area offers comfortable accommodation for a second or third member of your party.

STANDARD SUITE

The Jefferson Inn has two Standard Suites. At approximately 500 square feet, they offer plenty of room and privacy. The bedroom, which is separated from the living area by sheer covered french doors, has two queen beds and a 32" flat screen LCD TV. The living area, featuring a second 32" flat screen TV, offers a queen-size pullout sofa. The bathroom is well appointed with dual pedestal sinks, and an oversized walk-in shower with both a regular and rain showerhead.

DELUXE SUITE

The Jefferson Inn offers but one Deluxe Suite. It is our largest guestroom at just over 600 square feet. The generously sized bedroom easily accommodates a king-size bed, and the separate sleeping quarters and living area provide ample privacy, even if your party is utilizing the queen-size pullout sofa in the living area. The 42" plasma TV and the wetbar, including a microwave and mini-fridge, as well as the other "comfort features" found in all of our guestrooms, add to the appeal of the Deluxe Suite.

History

Southern Pines, North Carolina was founded in the late 1800’s by John Tyrant Patrick, following the construction of the railroad through the town’s current location. The warm climate and clean air began attracting many Northeasterners to the area. John S. Reynolds and his wife were among those who became enamored with the region. The couple ran a guesthouse known as the Cold Springs House during the summer months in their hometown of Jefferson, New Hampshire. They eventually built a winter home on New Hampshire Avenue in Southern Pines, a half-block from the train station in the center of town.
